Mar 17, 2013. Ok I offered to help a friends elderly aunty (me and my big mouth), by retrieving the family tree from her old hard drive from her old pc. Looked for a folder named Sierra, (the name of the company who made the Generations software), opened and looked for a file with a file extension.uds on the old hard. I was bought software called Sierra Generations Grande Suite 8 as a present quite a few years ago, and gradually I have built our family tree up on it. Unfortunately, it doesnt let you share the info with anyone else. It isnt easy to copy onto CD and when I eventually got someone to copy it for me, it cannot be.
