I recently bought this software because I wanted to use save data from other users to gain an advantage in offline play. With the software, you get a large database that has a list of different save data for almost any game out there. I followed the instructions and successfully 're-signed' the downloaded save data for various games, to my own PSN ID. Everything worked perfectly, but I noticed that in a couple of games (namely NFS: Shift), after doing one race, all the trophies for the game popped up at the same time. I was completely surprised.
I did not intend to buy this software to cheat to get trophies, but I ended up getting so many without earning them. I synced my account and I was happy at first, but now I'm very worried. Since I started collecting trophies for games, I've earned all of them myself, legitimately and I had around 28+ Platinum trophies, with 1600+ trophies altogether (prior to using this software). Everything is done on the official Sony firmware. Can someone tell me if I should be worried? Please I am very worried about the status of my account. Have I done anything illegal? Any advice would be greatly appriciated. You make it sound like I've just killed someone. I will call Sony about this issue, as I have nothing to hide.
As far as the software is concerned, I feel that I purchased legal software, and used it legally. It is a crime to illegally download software (e.g. Games, Programs, etc.), but I don't understand how it can be legal to use save data from someone else, when you OWN the game. There is a lot of software that is not licensed by Sony. I live close to a GAME store that sells this stuff. Your essentially implying that they sell illegal software, are you not?
